While PR professionals last year made lot of noise over how Abbys is losing its credibility etc., but were super excited when Abbys decided to include PR as one of new inclusion alongside a number of new sub-categories.
This year was special to the PR fraternity in India as this was yet another great platform to be recognized after SABRE made its debut in India last year. Indian PR agencies not only participated but participated with bang with many nominations for great work done for their clients in the past year.
In the Public Relations category, Adfactors lead the tally by winning one Silver and four Bronze metals. MSL Group took home three Silvers and one Bronze. Madison World won one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze. Publicis bagged one Gold and one Bronze. IBS and Paradigm Plus Marketing Communication grabbed one Gold each.
According to the organizers, PR which was a newbis in GoaFest got overwhelming response. The Advertising Club and chairman of the Awards Governing Council president Pratap Bose mentioned that the 10 jury member team for the PR category were excited and saw some good pieces of work. In the PR category 24 awards were given away out of the 42 entries received. Adfactors advertising bagged five Abbys.
